More than a million people visited this year’s Birthday of the Hamburg Harbour. Colourful and lively activities along the shoreline, highlights bioth on the water and ashore. The literally biggest highlight: her majesty of the seas: Queen Mary 2. It’s a breathtaking experience seeing her passing by the “Landungsbrücken”, just in front of all the hustle and buzzle of the harbour party.
Lucky those who attended this event or even the fireworks on board of a ship. Many traditional sailing ships, windjammer, historical steamships or barges were available, offering entertainment and food while sailing on the river Elbe.
